Brookstreet Pictures will produce a short Western penned by Nick Gordon. Trevor Matthews (Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, The Shrine) is attached to star, with Jon Knautz (Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, The Shrine) directing. Ariescope Pictures’ Cory Neal (Frozen, Hatchet) is set to help produce the short, which has plans for production in late September.
Jon and Trevor are re-teaming to make a short for the first time since Moment of Truth in 2007, which is now being developed into a feature film. Two of their previous shorts, Still Life and The Other Celia, earned Jon Best Director prizes at the Malibu Film Festival in 2006. Cory Neal just wrapped Hatchet 2 with Ariescope Director Adam Green, the sequel to their 2006 Horror/Comedy cult hit, Hatchet.

We lost touch during the move, but now we are settled and have found our signal to break radio silence!
In March, Brookstreet Pictures added a new office branch in Beverly Hills, CA. Trevor Matthews (CEO), Jon Knautz (VP), and Matt Brulotte (Post Production Manager) now reside in sunny Southern California.
We wasted no time and immediately started pursuing new projects for the company. Three feature films are in development, with scripts scheduled to arrive in September and October. We are making plans to start pre-production on one soon after.
Stay tuned for more updates on The Shrine’s festival frenzy, our upcoming slate, and more!
